Marcia Younker, APRN-BC, PMHNP

Marcia is Board Certified by the American Nurses Association as both a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Texas A & I University. Originally from Texas, she later moved to Georgia where she obtained a Masters Degree in Adult Psychiatric Nursing from Georgia State University and a Post Graduate Certification in Family Mental Health Nursing from the University of Southern Alabama. Marcia has been practicing in the mental health field for over 30 years. Clinically, she has provided assessments, education, treatment and medication management for a wide variety of mental health populations and conditions. She has practiced in outpatient settings, hospitals, nursing homes, corrections, educational settings and other institutional venues. Marcia believes that the mind and body are closely integrated and an imbalance in one affects the other. A holistic approach to treatment in collaboration with the client is used to develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan.
